Stress Counselling
A little stress is good for health. It keeps you on your toes, motivates you, and drives you to do your best in time. But when it becomes too much to handle, it can disrupt your life.
Prolonged stress can be damaging to you mentally and physically. Stress can manifest itself in your body as headaches, upset stomach, muscle tension, altered sleeping and eating habits, breathing difficulties, and absent periods! So it's definitely not all in your head.
Stress may happen for a lot of reasons, like having a divorce or switching jobs. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you find the underlying issues and navigate stress. With a counsellor, you will be able to identify your personal triggers and learn to cope with them. A stressful trigger elicits a fight-or-flight reaction from the brain- so you either face your fears or you run away.
